Bradenton Beach Scenic Highway
Vision Statement.
The vision of the Bradenton Beach Scenic Highway Corridor Advocacy Group is to develop a plan to turn State Highway 789 which runs through the city, into an attractive, user friendly gateway to the historic, recreational and commercial opportunities available along its path. The achievement of this goal to be accomplished through carefully controlled development, while preserving the flavor of “Old Florida” and the natural environment.
The goal of the CAG is as follows:
- A plan that incorporates the desires of the citizens of Bradenton Beach.
- A plan that coordinates local desires with the governmental agencies with jurisdiction in and around the corridor.
- A plan that creates a visually pleasing corridor which best serves the needs of the public yet preserves and enhances the intrinsic ambiance of the area.
- A plan for development and a prioritized list of tasks to achieve our goals.
